The inaugural White Lodge to White Cliffs ride was a lot of fun for everyone involved – and much needed awareness and funds have been raised, with money still coming in.

There were a wide variety of ages and abilities among the team of five, but right from the start everyone got on brilliantly.

The weather was mostly excellent with just the last few miles seeing the rain and wind that we’d been expecting.

Highlights included Simon’s dogged determination to finish the ride, the views from Box Hill, the slow group/fast group chase strategy we adopted on the second day, the size of our special cyclist’s pizza in Zizzi Tunbridge Wells, Werner's love of the Garmin Edge 800 and a visit and a round of drinks from White Lodge Director Lesley.

Photos from the trip can be found here.

Perhaps most excitingly, the efforts of the 2011 team have already inspired 6 people to sign up for the 2012 ride, so White Lodge to White Cliffs looks like it can become a successful annual event for years to come.

A huge congratulations to all concerned!
